Home Visits
If a home visit is required, please make your request between 8.30am and 11.00am. Details will be then given to the duty doctor, who will then contact you by telephone.

Please do not request a home visit unless you or the patient are too ill to come to the practice. Remember, a doctor can see five patients at the surgery in the time it takes to attend one home visit. Please use the service responsibly.

In the event of a life threatening emergency, such as severe chest pain, extreme shortness of breath or collapse dial 999 to call an ambulance immediately.

The practice will be closed on 22nd,25th,29th April and 2nd May.

We will also be closed on Wednesday 18th May 2011 from 1.30pm for training.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS WITH BREAST IMPLANTS.

If breast implants have been fitted privately please contact with the private clinic to determine whether PIP implants were fitted. Due to the large number of ladies  this may apply to, who are currently concerned the private companies may take several days to respond.

If impants were fitted on the NHS, please make a routine appointment with your GP.

If any patient has discovered that the private clinics have fitted PIP implants, but are not able or willing to assist you, please make a routine appointment to see a GP.

If anyone wishes to discuss the problem with a GP first, please contact the provate company initially on "GP advice" as there is nothing we can do until we find out what brand of implant has been fitted.

What do I do in an emergency?

If you need urgent medical advice during surgery hours, please telephone 01283 818100. Please be prepared to give some information to our reception team.

If you need urgent medical advice when we are closed, please telephone out of hours on 0844 412 2239. Alternatively you can ring NHS Direct on 0845 46 47, or visit their website at http://www.nhsdirect.co.uk/

Whatever time of day if you experience severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest A&E department or call 999.
